WOMEN'S PEACE APPEAL WEEK
Closing ceremony at CEPREF Mandjou
On September 22, 2023, the closing ceremony of the Semaine d’appel pour la paix par les femmes organized by the association Femmes pour la promotion du leadership moral was held at the Centre de promotion de l’entrepreneuriat féminin de MANDJOU.
Chaired by the Délégué départemental de la Jeunesse et de l’éducation civique, it was attended by over 40 people. Among them were the head of the Mandjou social affairs center, a resource person, and beneficiaries of CEPREF’s activities, including refugees, internally displaced persons and the host community.
Key activities included
– Training in the preparation of wheat and corn flour cakes
– An educational talk on the theme of social and peaceful cohesion: its importance for the harmonious and sustainable development of the community
– Artistic activities
– An exhibition on CEPREF activities in Mandjou
At the end of the ceremony, the Peace Tree and messages of peace were shared by the participants as a sign of peace during the artistic activities.
WILPF Cameroon, particularly concerned by the situation of refugees in the EAST region, warmly thanks the Feplem Moral for this event of such social impact.
