CSNU RESOLUTION 1325
"Strengthening the Women, Peace and Security Agenda: Citizen Mobilization and Partnerships for Sustainable Peace".
To celebrate the anniversary of Resolution 1325, the members of WILPF Cameroon Women Peace Initiatives, Youth For Peace and Cameroon for a World Beyond War are more than ever dedicated to the Women, Peace and Security agenda, in a world continually in conflict.

– How can we consolidate WILPF Cameroon ‘s work and strengthen its advocacy of resolution 1325?
– What can the FPS agenda achieve in the world of destruction? And what answers can we suggest?
– How can we re-engage leaders, civil society players and communities?
Considering that UNSC Resolution 1325 is not a one-day action, we need to reflect on ways to mobilize citizens for the Women, Peace and Security agenda, to ensure that together we can reduce violence and promote peace in everyday life.
On October 31, a productive workshop brought together media men and women and some leaders and members of civil society organizations from the Littoral region.
– Participants gained a better understanding of UNSCR 1325 and can now use it as an advocacy tool;
– Participants highlighted the role that men can play in implementing UNSC Resolution 1325;
– The concept of positive masculinity was explained and participants will work with WILPF Cameroon in its activities and promote it.
Chaired by Mrs. Gisèle Ekoh Ngobe, Déléguée Régional de la Promotion de la Femme et de la Famille de la région du Littoral(MINPROFF), held a firm commitment on the implementation of the 2ᵉ generation Action Plan.
We also had the great honor of counting among our panel, Sylvie Jacqueline NdongmoInternational President of Women’s International League for Peace and Freedomwho shared her experience in implementing the NAP and resolution 1325.
The workshop ended with a number of strong recommendations, and above all a commitment from everyone to popularize UNSC Resolution 1325 in their communities.
