Stakeholder consultation workshop / Littoral session
On Friday, December 15, 2023 in Douala, the stakeholder consultation workshop for the project “Fostering social cohesion among young people to prevent hate speech and political violence in Cameroon” was facilitated by Youth For Peace.
With youth as the main target, this crucial session explored the origins of hate speech, and evoked the marginalization and insecurity of young people faced with the proliferation of hateful content.
Important recommendations called for contributions from political leaders and education professionals to mobilize solidarity actions.
This WILPF Cameroon project, financed by the United Nations Democracy Fund, continues its implementation caravan in Kousseri in Cameroon’s Far North.
