ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Working to protect the environment
One area that will undoubtedly contribute to building lasting peace in our country is environmental protection.
To celebrate this 54ᵉ edition of World Earth Day, our West office was able to make an overall assessment; of the progress made by Cameroon in the fight against harmful practices on the environment over the last five years.
During his visit to ENIEG DSCHANG, 120 student teachers, 400 elementary school pupils. 5 environmental education and sustainable development teachers, 20 primary school teachers agreed to :
– Raise awareness of harmful environmental practices and their consequences;
– Promote the implementation of environmental protection mechanisms ;
– Mobilize partnerships between stakeholders, including local authorities, to eliminate environmentally harmful practices;
– Carry out a sectoral assessment of actions taken to combat harmful practices affecting the environment;
– Mobilize the whole of society by organizing a “week of activism to say NO to harmful practices affecting the environment”.
