POSITIVE MASCULINITY
Mobilizing men and boys🕊
During some of our anniversary episodes, Young WILPF Cameroon took a moment of reflection to discuss positive masculinities with young refugees from the Central African Republic in Mandjou, Eastern Region. Our feminist movement understands the importance of involving men and boys in Gender Justice.
We talked in particular about “young masculinities” in a context of crisis, to reimagine a strategy of deliberate, coherent and effective male involvement towards achieving gender equality in our country.
What a transformative conversation! We revisit the in-depth research of WILPF Cameroon supported by the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, which explores how men and masculinity are transformed by changing socio-economic, cultural and political conditions in our communities.
