UNDEF PROJECT

UNDEF PROJECT

Training workshop for young people on community activism, violence prevention and identifying "fake news".

This July 26th, WILPF Cameroon is training nearly 40 young people as part of a series of capacity-building workshops for Municipal Youth Councillors (CMJ). The training is part of the project “Fostering social cohesion among young people to prevent hate speech and political violence in Cameroon”, funded by the United Nations Democracy Fund ( UNDEF).
The committed young people of the CAD3 Municipal Youth Council have benefited from relevant tools to increase their full participation in Commune activities, peace initiatives and the strengthening of activism in the service of social cohesion. They are committed to raising awareness among their peers about violence prevention.
