WILPF Cameroon took part in a discussion session on August 6, 2024, organized by the United Nations Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Central Africa, held at its headquarters in Bastos, Yaoundé.

Chaired by Mr. Volker Turk, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the session enabled Cameroonian civil society organizations to share their views, challenges and perspectives. Discussions highlighted the importance of free and fair elections in 2025, the protection of human rights and the need to support vulnerable groups, particularly displaced women and girls. The High Commissioner pledged to act on the concerns raised.
