Capacity building for Cameroonians to develop the National Action Plan for Youth, Peace and Security in Cameroon
WILPF Cameroon is honored to be part of the working group responsible for developing the United Nations Security Council’s “Youth, Peace and Security” National Action Plan. The working group met on July 11 and 12, 2024 at the premises of plan Cameroun Yaoundé, during a workshop organized by Ministry of Youth and Civic Education 237 in collaboration with GIZ Regional Office Yaoundé and Plan International Cameroon .

The aim of the workshop was to build the capacity of the members of the “Youth, Peace and Security” agenda working group in order to facilitate the development and effective implementation of the National Action Plan in Cameroon.
WILPF Cameroon which is taking part in this capacity-building workshop, feels honored to have its name inscribed for a second time in the history of the drafting of a national plan. It initiated the drafting of the 1325 NAP on Women-Peace-Security, which is now in its 7th year.
Together, let’s work for a more inclusive and peaceful Cameroon through a committed youth that participates in peace processes.
