World Environment Day
Together against plastic pollution
Friday, June 5, 2025, WILPF Cameroon was at the ENIEG of Dschang as part of World Environment Day, for a monitoring and evaluation activity of the reforestation project launched in 2024. A valuable opportunity to appreciate the evolution of planted trees and reaffirm our commitment to environmental justice.
Last year, on the same day, we planted several trees alongside the student teachers, with the aim of promoting ecological awareness in the educational environment. This project was part of the 2024 theme: Our Earth. Our Future . »
This year, the 2025 edition of World Environment Day focuses on a crucial challenge: “Combating plastic pollution“, a global call to reduce the use of plastic, encourage recycling, and build cleaner and more sustainable communities.
By revisiting the trees planted, we recalled that the fight for a healthy environment also involves concrete and sustainable actions, such as reforestation, responsible waste management, and educating future teachers about eco-responsibility.
Thank you to the ENIEG of Dschang, the student teachers, the teaching teams and all our partners for their constant commitment. Together, let’s fight plastic pollution, plant for tomorrow and sow the seeds of environmental peace.
