Message from the President

Welcome to the website of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (Wilpf Cameroon). Find here all our activities and achievements for a women's peace movement.

Who we are

Our vision of women's peace

A world free of violence and armed conflict in which human rights are protected and women and men have equal opportunities and hold leadership positions at the local, national and international levels.

Our Story

Legalized on February 18, 2015, the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF Cameroon) has the vision of a world without violence and armed conflict where human rights are protected, through processes that involve women at all levels. WILPF's mission in Cameroon and Africa is to contribute to the stability of social peace by building a movement of women peacemakers to prevent war and to ensure the representation of women at all levels in the peacebuilding process, to defend women's rights, and to promote social, economic and political justice. Working for peace at the national, regional and global levels is therefore a constant concern of WILPF, which justifies our involvement, at all levels, in the fight against the development and proliferation of weapons of all kinds. The organization's flagship programs are: Women, Peace and Security (UN Security Council Resolution 1325) Disarmament Human Rights Crisis Response.
