The event brought together 88 participants, including 64 girls and 24 boys, to talk about girls’ rights and comprehensive sexuality education. – Session highlights : * Presentation of the rights of the girl child (according to the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child). * Discussions on menstrual hygiene, STIs and the dangers of early sexuality. * Interactive exchanges with students, to help them better understand the topics covered. – Some of the girl’s rights highlighted: * Right to education and health. * The right to be protected against violence and forced marriage. * Right to information, expression and participation. – Recommendations from participants : * Multiply this type of awareness-raising in villages and among community leaders. * Organize practical training to empower women economically.
