WILPF Cameroon, in partnership with the association Femmes pour la promotion du leadership moral – FEPLEM, with financial support from the United Nations Democracy Fund, UNDEF, brought together leaders of associations, teachers, journalists, representatives of institutions, administrative and traditional authorities, and political leaders, to understand the extent of hate speech and political violence in Cameroon. Several contributions were made following group work on the fact that hate speech is already a fact of life in Cameroonian society, and it is becoming urgent to combine prevention with the fight against hate speech and political violence. For an effective and relevant achievement of the objective on raising awareness of students and political actors on hate speech with an emphasis on practical tools.
