Today, September 25, 2023, an educational talk was held at the Mandjou Center for the Promotion of Women’s Entrepreneurship, organized by WILPF Cameroon’s Eastern liaison office and the Head of the Mandjou Social Center.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This session took place in the run-up to the International Day of Older Persons (IDOP), which aims to remind us that the rights of older people are inseparable from the principles set out by the United Nations.<\/div><\/div>
Chaired by the Head of the Mandjou Social Center, 40 participants attended, including members of the seniors’ mutual, staff from CEPREF, WILPF Cameroon and FEPLEM, seniors benefiting from CEPREF services and a few local residents.<\/div>

The talk focused on :<\/div>
– Raising awareness of the diseases to which the elderly are exposed and how to avoid them,<\/div>
– The importance of a balanced diet,<\/div>
– Presentation of the mutual insurance company for the elderly.<\/div>

At the end of the talk, a brief presentation of CEPREF’s activities was given by its Director. This prompted the head of the mutual to express her desire to collaborate with the Center in building and strengthening women’s IGA capacities. <\/div><\/div>
