It focuses on monitoring and taking into account human rights in national policies through training, research, awareness raising and advocacy. WILPF Cameroon contributes to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on the follow-up of recommendations made in Cameroon in relation to the theme “women, peace and security”. WILPF Cameroon has contributed to the better respect of women’s human rights in Cameroon, through the follow-up of the implementation of UPR recommendations and the sensitisation of relevant social and institutional actors.

The Programme contributes to the active participation of WILPF Cameroon and its partner organisations in national and UN human rights mechanisms, specifically the monitoring of the implementation of human rights obligations by the State of Cameroon; the strengthening of the advocacy capacities of members and partners, national and international advocacy with national institutions, diplomatic, and UN human rights bodies
