Participation de WILPF Cameroon à une consultation régionale clé
WILPF Cameroon participated in the Central African Regional Consultation on the Implementation of the UN Security Council’s Women, Peace and Security Agenda.
This strategic meeting, held in Yaoundé from March 31 to April 1, 2026, was organized by the African Union and GIZ. It brought together institutional actors, technical and financial partners, and civil society organizations committed to promoting peace and women’s rights.
Through its participation, WILPF Cameroon made a significant contribution to the discussions and reflections on the progress and challenges related to the implementation of National Action Plans (NAPs) in the sub-region. This platform also reaffirmed the central role of civil society in driving, supporting, and monitoring the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
Furthermore, the contributions of the various stakeholders highlighted the urgent need to move from political commitments to concrete actions, particularly by strengthening funding, community ownership, and accountability in the implementation of National Action Plans (NAPs).
In a context marked by multiple crises and persistent challenges, WILPF Cameroon reaffirms its commitment to working towards an inclusive, sustainable, and women-centered peace.
